Global esports brand WCG (World Cyber Games) announced that the “WCG 2025 Festival,” held under the slogan “The Biggest Creator Festival in the World,” has successfully concluded its three-day run in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Running for three days starting on the 12th, the WCG 2025 Festival recorded a cumulative attendance of 100,000 visitors, firmly establishing itself as a comprehensive gaming festival that goes beyond competition to combine creator culture with active audience participation.

The festival’s main program, “Creator Rumble: Global,” stood out for its unprecedented scale, with participating influencers boasting a combined following of approximately 400 million. A total of 64 global creators competed across six game titles, earning the official in-game currency, Cubes, in each round and engaging in intense strategic battles. After a fierce competition for the total prize pool of IDR 1 billion (approximately KRW 90 million), Team Sidaivan emerged as the final champion. All major matches were simulcast worldwide via WCG’s official channels and the creators’ individual channels, generating explosive responses from global fans.

A wide range of interactive on-site programs also allowed visitors to actively participate and enjoy the festival. Events such as the Cosplay Contest, along with tournaments for FC Mobile, Call of Duty: Mobile, and the eFootball™: Windah Basudara Cup 2025, further heightened the excitement. In addition, the The God of High School showcase based on the popular webtoon IP, as well as exhibition booths by Indonesian game companies, offered rich content that combined gaming and culture while highlighting the potential of the local industry.

The WCG ARCADIA Zone, a gamification program introduced at this year’s festival, emerged as a key experiential space. Through the SLASH app, visitors participated in mini-games and booth experiences, earning points that could be redeemed for prizes such as gaming gear and Gatsby products. With around 700 participants, the Arcadia Zone was widely praised for successfully transforming the festival experience from passive viewing to active participation.

As a founding sponsor, Smilegate played a key role in connecting online and offline engagement through its global social platform STOVE. At the STOVE Lounge, a fan-voted mission—“Korean Team Durian Challenge”—was carried out live on-site, drawing laughter and enthusiasm from the crowd. The content will be released as a VOD on TesterHoon’s YouTube channel. In addition, community-driven events such as slogan displays created from fan messages and the Philippines Crossfire Lounge concluded successfully, setting a strong example of fan-participation-focused programming.

The successful and stable operation of this year’s festival was made possible through close collaboration with a wide range of partners. Numerous sponsors—including Bank Jakarta, TODAK, and MNC—as well as brand booths such as Gatsby and Multi Toy, contributed to enriching the festival’s content. In addition, close administrative cooperation with the Jakarta Provincial Government (DKI Jakarta) enabled the event to be conducted safely and systematically, even amid large crowds.

Kwangjun Song, CEO of Bigpicture Interactive, stated, “This festival presented a new model for global events by combining WCG’s global brand value with creator culture to connect with fans around the world,” adding, “We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who showed interest in and visited the WCG 2025 Festival.”
