Global esports brand WCG (World Cyber Games) has unveiled the key content of the “WCG 2025 Festival,” held under the slogan “The Biggest Creator Festival in the World,” and officially begun the countdown to the festival. The event will take place over three days from December 12 to 14 at JIEXPO Jakarta, Indonesia.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, WCG is a representative global brand that once earned the nickname “the Olympics of esports” and was listed in the Guinness World Records. After successfully presenting a hybrid festival model last year at ICE BSD in Indonesia, WCG is set to further expand both the scale and creator-centric content of the festival this year, signaling a full-scale push to engage global fandoms.
At the heart of the festival is “Creator Rumble,” a board game–style content format developed in-house by WCG. Designed as the festival’s main event, Creator Rumble brings together global creators to compete through teamwork and strategic gameplay.
On December 12, “Creator Rumble Indonesia” will kick off the festivities, featuring 64 local Indonesian creators forming 16 teams to heat up the atmosphere ahead of the main event.
On December 13 and 14, “Creator Rumble Global” will take place, with a total of 16 teams competing for the global championship title. Participants include top teams from the Indonesian qualifiers, nine teams of popular Indonesian creators, and national representative creator teams from 10 countries, including Korea, Thailand, and India.
Notably, the festival will feature a lineup of highly influential creators, including Team Dean KT, which has gained popularity in Korea through short-form meme content, as well as Indian creator teams with over 10 million subscribers. The combined follower count of participating creators is estimated at approximately 400 million, drawing significant global attention.
Representing Korea, Team TesterHoon—the winner of the National Showdown Korea held in Busan this past August—will take the global stage. The team consists of TesterHoon, Jo Jaewon, Gaeinpot, and Thal, and aims to prove its competitive strength on the international stage.
All matches will be simulcast live on WCG’s official channels as well as the participating creators’ individual channels, allowing fans worldwide to experience the excitement in real time.
The WCG 2025 Festival has further strengthened localized content through collaboration with Indonesia’s leading pop culture event, the Motion IME Festival, offering a more tailored experience for local fans.
At Motion IME Festival, K-POP group STAYC has been invited as a special artist, expected to elevate the on-site energy to its peak.
In addition, a wide range of gaming events will be featured, including an FC Mobile tournament, a “God of High School” showcase based on the popular webtoon IP, as well as demo sessions and fan signing events.
Visitors can also enjoy diverse subculture programs such as Indonesia’s largest cosplay contest, the eFootball Cup hosted by Windah Basudara, and the Call of Duty: Mobile Showdown.
Attendees will be able to participate in “WCG Arcadia,” an on-site gamification program that offers match predictions, mini-games, and opportunities to win prizes.
WCG is promoting the festival as a key partner event of the “Jakarta 500th Anniversary Project” in cooperation with the Jakarta Provincial Government (DKI Jakarta). Through this partnership, WCG plans to provide not only administrative support but also city-linked tourism content, including special city tours.
Founding sponsor Smilegate’s global social platform STOVE will participate as the official community partner. Through the “WCG STOVE Lounge,” a pre-event fan voting campaign was held, allowing fans to vote on missions for the Korean representative team. The results will be produced and revealed as part of the official festival content.
