A fierce competition among Korea's top creators! Tickets for ‘WCG 2025 National Showdown Korea: Creator Rumble’ (hereinafter referred to as ‘National Showdown Korea’) are now open.
Global esports brand WCG (World Cyber Games) has announced that tickets for the upcoming “WCG 2025 National Showdown Korea: Creator Rumble” — set to take place on the 23rd at the Busan e-Sports Arena — will go on sale through Interpark starting at 9 AM on the 1st.
Co-hosted by WCG and the Busan Metropolitan Government, co-organized by the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency (President: Kim Tae-yeol), and sponsored by Smilegate, “National Showdown Korea” will feature WCG’s original board game, Creator Rumble.
Creator Rumble is a team-based board game where four creators form a team to take on a series of games and missions. Teams use dice earned through performance to advance on a board, and the team that ends up closest to the final space wins.
“National Showdown Korea” brings together 32 popular Korean creators — including Tester Hoon, who led Korea to victory at the WCG 2024 Festival, as well as Danuri, Seungjoo Byun, Aegyo Yong, Bonghoon Yoo, Kane, MadLife, and EscA — divided into 8 teams for a thrilling competition.
Unlike traditional esports titles, the game missions featured in this event are casual and easy to enjoy for everyone. The event consists of six total rounds — three in the first half and three in the second half.
The first half, taking place online on the 16th, includes cooperative games: Pushing It! Together – Sisyphus Co-op, PICO PARK 2, and Moving Out 2. The second half, held offline on the 23rd at the Busan e-Sports Arena, will feature Spot the Diff 3D, a 4- Web Game Relay, and Party Animals.
Kyungjun Min, Head of WCG, commented, “Our goal is to deliver an electrifying live experience with Korea’s top creators gathered in one place for ‘National Showdown Korea’,” adding, “We’re preparing unique and exciting content to heat up this summer, so we hope fans will look forward to it and show their support.”
Meanwhile, WCG’s official community platform — Smilegate’s global social platform STOVE — is hosting several interactive fan events such as “WCG O/X Quiz” and “Match Predictions.” A special event is also underway where the most active users in each team’s STOVE lounge can help their team win additional prize money.
The “National Showdown Korea” will be streamed live on the official WCG YouTube channel. The first half will also be broadcast by the creators themselves via their personal channels, allowing for real-time interaction with fans.
