WORLD CYBER GAMES, Inc (hereinafter referred to as "WCG") regards the privacy and protection of personal information of all official WCG global website, www.wcg.com (hereinafter referred to as "WCG Website"), users (hereinafter referred to as "Members") with the highest priority. Thus, best efforts shall be made to protect the privacy and personal information of all users of WCG Web Services (hereinafter referred to as "Services"). WCG conforms to all legislation related to the offering of telecommunications service including communication secrecy protection law, telecommunication business law, telecommunication usage promotion, etc., and shall continue to monitor and abide by privacy protection laws and the personal information protection principles enacted by the Ministry of Information and Communication. Via the WCG Website privacy policy, members are informed of how the personal information they provide is used, and what measures are taken to ensure privacy protection. The WCG Website privacy policy is displayed on the first screen of the WCG homepage for easy and readily viewing. The WCG Website privacy policy shall undergo constant improvement, and thus can be modified from time to time based on changes in related government law and/or guidelines and internal policy modifications. In any case of privacy policy modification, members shall be provided with easy and clear notification via the WCG Website homepage. Members are asked to check for any such notifications on a frequent basis. The WCG Website privacy policy includes the following.
Personal Information Collection Agreement
Users of the WCG Website are offered the choice to "Agree" or "Disagree" with the service policies set forth in the WCG Website such as the privacy policy, website usage policy, etc. Selecting "Agree" will clearly indicate agreement to allow collection of a user's personal information.
Personal Information Collection and Usage Objectives
Personal information is defined as true, existing information of a user, including name, ID, e-mail address, etc. (information items that combined can form a verifiable identity, but along cannot), that serves to provide a distinct basis for identity authentication of said user.
Member personal information is collected to improve service quality and experience through various measures based on such information including service (bulletin board, chatting, games, etc.) customization. Member personal information is not opened for public knowledge without previous consent from members, and is used in the following ways.
Personal Information Items and Collection Methodology
Users who wish to partake in membership services must provide required information online at the WCG Website.
Required information consists of e-mail address, ID, password, member authentication question and answer, true name, nickname, date of birth, occupation, country, level of education, mailing list acceptance, etc. In addition, to promote optimal service quality, the following items are requested but optional: telephone number, mailing address (domicile), messenger ID, clan name (if applicable), most played games, etc. Minors fourteen years of age and under are required to provide approval by their legal guardians to register for membership in the WCG Website. For surveys and/or statistical analysis during events carried out on the WCG Website, members can be asked for select items of personal information. In addition, members can be asked for agreement to receive advertisement mails and partake in promotional events. If the provision of prizes is involved, members can be asked for select items of personal information to facilitate the awarding process. However, in these instances, information that is sensitive to possible civil rights (race, beliefs and religion, original place of birth, political inclination, criminal record, sexual lifestyle, etc.) infringement shall, as a general rule, not be requested, but if certain items are absolutely necessary, prior notice to members shall be made and further processing shall depend on member agreement. Personal information provided by members on the WCG Website shall not be used for any purposes not previously notified to members, and will not be released without member consent. WCG may request special information from members regarding computer hardware and software used. Information requested can include such items as member's IP address, browser type, domain name, access time, website URL, etc. This information shall be used in standard statistical analysis regarding GENIUS and Cyber Stadium usage to ensure smooth service operation and quality maintenance. Any personal information collection activities performed by websites linked to the WCG Website are outside the bounds of this WCG Website privacy policy. Personal Information Maintenance and Usage Period
The WCG Website shall maintain personal information of members and use it for service operations during the effective period of membership. However, members can follow the guidelines listed in the "Member Management of Own Personal Information (Inspection, Correction, Deletion, etc.)" section below to modify and/or delete his/her information or terminate membership. In such cases, any subsequent restoration and inspection of such information and/or membership is not possible.
In addition, if a member shows no activity in the WCG Website within the previous three (3) months, the member shall receive notice and shall be understood to no longer desire usage of WCG Website services, thus leading to possible membership and personal information deletion to protect said member's privacy. After collection and/or provision objectives of a member's personal information are met, such information shall remain inactive. However, member information shall be stored for the periods listed below. Also, member information can be stored for a period prescribed by related commercial, e-commerce, consumer protection, etc. law. In such cases, the objective for corresponding member information is simple storage.
- Withdrawal of agreement and or subscription record storage: five (5) years

Personal information provided by members on the WCG Website shall not be released to others without prior notice to and agreement from members. However, exceptions to this rule are as follows.
In addition, member information can be released for technology development and/or service improvement purposes. In such cases, members shall be given prior notice of to whom their personal information shall be released, what information shall be released, why this information shall be released, and subsequent protection measures. Release shall be carried out with the agreement of members. Release of any member information to advertisers, partners, research institutes for research purposes will be on a general statistical/segmentation level and will protect the identities of members. Member Management of Own Personal Information (Inspection, Correction, Deletion, etc.)
Members can inspect and/or modify their registered personal information at any time. If any member wishes to terminate membership, he/she can enter the Customer Support Center in the WCG Website and apply for termination. To check and/or modify personal information, members can enter the "My WCG" section of the WCG Website. However, member ID, name, and nickname are not open to modification. Any check and/or modification of member information shall proceed only after an authentication of member process is completed. If a member loses or forgets his/her password, he/she must make a lost password report in the corresponding menu of the WCG Website. However, modification of member ID is not permitted, and if such modification is absolutely required, a member must terminate membership with that ID and reapply for new membership.
Operation of Cookies
WCG saves and utilizes cookies on a periodic basis to facilitate customization of services to members. Cookies are used in website operations and involve the sending of small packets of information data from the operation server (HTTP) to a member's web browser that can be saved in said member's computer hard disk.
Use of such cookies that are sent during a member's visit to the WCG Website contribute to assessing a members visit and usage patterns, user scale, etc. and to facilitating the offering of maximized services to members. Members have the right to accept or decline the use of cookies. In the web browser options, users can decide to accept all cookies, accept cookies after prior notification on a case-by-case basis, or decline all cookies. If use of cookies is declined, the automatic login function in the WCG Website is not operable. Use of cookies must be accepted if a member wishes to use the automatic login function and customized services in the WCG Website. To offer optimized services to members, cookies are used to distinguish members by their ID. Cookies can distinguish among computers used by members and not the actual identity of members. Personal Information-Related Technical and Maintenance Measures
The following technical and maintenance measures are carried out in the WCG Website to provide maximum security and help prevent any loss, theft, exposure, falsification, and/or damage of personal information.
Member passwords are carefully protected. A member's password is known solely to said member, and any inspection and/or modification of personal information is only possible after confirmation of this password. Thus, it is strongly recommended that members do not make their passwords known to others. Members are recommended to logout from the WCG Website after finishing service usage and to close the corresponding web browser. The above measures are strongly recommended to protect personal information especially if a member shares a computer with others and/or accesses the WCG Website from a public area (office, school, library, Internet cafe, etc.) WCG performs best efforts to prevent any leak and/or damage of personal information due to hacking and/or introduction of computer viruses on the WCG Website. To prevent such damage and or exposure, WCG performs frequent backups of member information and utilizes the most up-to-date anti-virus programs to ensure that personal information is handled safely using password algorithms, etc. In addition, comprehensive technical measures are taken to constantly upgrade security, including usage of an unwarranted access prevention system that blocks system access to outside parties. WCG Website operators are given only limited access to member information, and separate passwords that are periodically changed are used in this regard. In addition, all operators are trained on the importance of abiding by personal information protection guidelines and the privacy policy of the WCG Website. Also, the measures taken by operators are cross-checked by communications security organizations, and if any issues arises, prompt efforts shall be made to provide remedy. However, WCG assumes no responsibility for any leak of member information due to carelessness/negligence of members and/or Internet service problems. Personal Information Security
WCG provides a guarantee of the security of personal information submitted by members on the WCG Website. WCG performs best efforts to utilize various technologies and processes to prevent unwarranted access, usage, and/or release of member information. For instance, member information is stored on limited-access systems. Use of secure data transmission technology such as the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol is done for personal information and/or event participation information transmissions.
Personal Information-Related Complaint Process
WCG is developing comprehensive processes to obtain feedback from members and handle any member complaints related to personal information in the WCG Website. Members can refer to the "Parties Responsible for Personal Information Management" displayed below, and report complaints on the corresponding bulletin board or directly to the persons listed. WCG pledges to provide prompt responses to any such complaints.
Protection of Personal Information of Minors
According to existing laws, minors fourteen (14) years of age and under must fully understand the collection and usage objectives regarding personal information and obtain approval from their legal guardians to register such personal information. In this regard, the WCG Website offers numerous policy statements detailing such personal information objectives, and requires proof of approval from a legal guardian at the time of membership application. WCG shall send an electronic mail to the legal guardian of any such minor wishing to apply for membership, and shall proceed with membership registration proceedings only after receiving approval in a return electronic mail. Any personal information of said legal guardian shall be used only for approval purposes. Legal guardians of any such minor members can request to inspect, correct, and/or revoke approval of membership and member information, and WCG shall process such requests without delay.
Parties Responsible for Personal Information Management
WCG performs best efforts to ensure that members can use services in a stable environment. If any member should have a complaint and/or encounter any issue related to personal information, he/she can file reports to the persons listed below.
Ultimate responsibility for protection of personal information such as member ID and password is assumed by each member. Direct requests for sharing of member passwords is never done in the WCG Website, and thus, it is strongly recommended that members do not make their passwords known to others. In particular, extra caution should be exercised when using the WCG Website service in public areas as described in the "Personal Information-Related Technical and Maintenance Measures" section above.
