World Cyber Games and Samsung Mobile Kick-off 2010 Samsung Mobile Challenge

The 3rd year of the world's premier mobile game competition features Samsung Galaxy S phone.

Finalists will compete at the WCG 2010 Grand Final in Los Angeles to win $10,000.

 

Seoul, Korea – Jun. 24, 2010 – World Cyber Games, Inc. (WCG), organizer of the premier international video game competition and festival and Samsung Electronics, the world's leader in mobile technology, today announced the official kick-off of the third-annual WCG 2010 Samsung Mobile Challenge (SMC), with this year's official mobile phone, the Galaxy S. The world's greatest mobile gamers will again get the chance to win total $25,000 in cash and prizes, bragging rights and a spot at the WCG 2010 Grand Final.

 

This year's challenge will be open to participants from 15 countries including: Australia, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Mexico, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, UK, Ukraine, and US.

 

The Samsung Galaxy S is a slim 9.9 mm device packed with an over-sized 4.0" super AM-OLED display, 1 GHz processor, ultra-fast data transfer, and generous 16 GB + Micro SD. The phone also features All share (via DLNA), which means you can wirelessly connect and share videos, photos, music and more between your phone, your TV and PC.

"Asphalt 5,"  the WCG 2010 Official Mobile Game title is a racing game which features more than 30 vehicles from prestigious manufacturers such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Audi, Ducati, racing in 12 unique locations, including St. Tropez, Aspen and Las Vegas, with varied track surfaces, short cuts and spectacular jumps.

 

To participate, gamers will need to have the official challenge phones, Samsung  Galaxy S  (Please, check other available phones in your country at http://mobile.wcg.com), log on to Samsung Apps (Samsung application store) , and download the official mobile game title Asphalt 5.  After playing, participants will send their game scores to the ranking system for a chance to attend the upcoming World Cyber Games Grand Finals from September 30th – October 3rd, 2010 and compete to win over $10,000 and other prizes.
