at the WCG Ultimate Gamer booth of the 2010 Consumer Electronics ShowWith all the glowing feedback from the gaming community and great ratings, WCG was given the greenlight to produce the second season of WCG Ultimate Gamer. What will season 2 bring is anybody's guess as the production meetings have just begun, but everyone here at WCG are looking forward to another great season and we hope that you will join us.
Just to catch up some of you who may not know what WCG Ultimate Gamer is, here is a brief description. WCG Ultimate Gamer is an exciting 8-episode elimination-style reality series that aired in March and April 2009 on the SyFy channel. As the 12 contestants share a loft in downtown Los Angeles, they were tested in real-life challenges inspired by best-selling game titles, competed in the video games themselves, and ultimately had to avoid elimination in head-to-head battles in an arena filled with hundreds of spectators, reaching for a prize package that includes $100,000 and the ultimate Samsung electronics package.

As the first reality show to predominantly feature video games, the first season received a lot of attention with positive comments from the gaming community. With a successful season under its belt, we have started planning the second season with plans to incorporate many of the great feedbacks from the community to make it even more spectacular and fun to watch!
For those who want to join the cast of the WCG Ultimate Gamer season 2, the casting sessions will begin around March of 2010. The show producers will be looking for the best all around gamers from not only the states, but from Europe and Asia as well for the global contestants' pool. We will be sure to post more information about the casting sessions on WCG.com so be sure to watch the news section.
Season 2 will begin airing in August of 2010 and end with a grand finale at the stage of WCG 2010 Grand Finals in Los Angeles.
Are you excited? We sure are! We have set up a WCG Ultimate Gamer booth at the 2010 International CES Exhibit in Las Vegas, where you can meet contestants from season 1 and participant in events as well as find out more information about season 2 of the video game based reality series.
