How will the contest work? The contest is forum based and will be hosted on TMX forums for WCG. Simply, you read the rules, build your track, and follow the special uploading instructions.
Track Rules The track should be requiring the skill of the driver to make the fastest time and not by luck or cuts. Make check points respawnable and try not to have alternate reset routes. Make the jumps do-able if you loose a little speed. Try to avoid traps which are not fair, keep the flow, but to require some braking is usually a good thing.
Entries: Maximum of 2 tracks can be entered per user. Length: 60 to 90 seconds for the author time which is hard worked. Difficulty: Intermediate to Expert. Think of Pro racing leagues, but also think of some 'wow' moments. Name: Must use the format WCG09-YourName-1 & WCG09-YourName-2 (your name can be real, tmx login, or ingame name).
Passwords: No track passwords must be used. Coppers Limit: Please try very hard not to exceed 3000. The limit is because races are mutli-player. Mood: Use Day, other moods can create lag or distract the drivers, this is competition. Intro: Up to 5 seconds. We strongly prefer tracks with an intro, but we want it this short. In Game: Yes, but very limited, see MT advise below Outro: Yes, think to show the race like it was on TV. Custom Signs: TMX sign pack signs are permitted. WCG & Samsung logos required (see below). Custom Graphics: None Custom Music: None GPS: Not required for these tracks. Ghosts: No, keep the track file small and suitable for online Use of a Mod: No Use of Mix Mapping Techniques: No
Logos o Samsung and WCG Signs are required to be seen while racing / spectating. Other sponsors signs encouraged. o Download: Sign Pack
Media Tracker o If you make ingame MT, it is could compromise the quality of the map, be careful. o Ingame cam switching for looping is a positive thing. o No personal message should be included. o No special fx, since any graphic card (like on older PC's) should display the MT. o The only words allowed are the track name. This is because not everyone speaks your language.
Tracks which flaunt the rules will be eliminated without further time spent playing the track.
Tracks will be visible on the TMX for other participants to play and award / leave comments on. The judges from WCG might be interested in the comments and awards that you leave.

Track Ownership The winning tracks will be free to use by World Cyber Games. The account you are uploading to has no delete rights, therefore only TMX can delete the tracks from the site.
